You should wait another week before checking on the progress of payment. Once received, processing times can vary, but is typically two business days. If a check was mailed recently (within the last week or two), we may not have received it yet. My donor said the check was sent but I haven't received funds. Once the check is processed you will see it posted in MyRED. Yes, all outside scholarships should be reported to the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid via MyRED including those that are paid to you directly. While Nebraska does not make selections for external scholarships, the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid processes them in order to be applied to your student account. You can search for scholarships through your local community and philanthropic organizations. You can apply for external scholarships and report them in MyRED. Students with less than 6 credit hours required for graduation, may receive FAS and FMS by completing a graduation application .Other scholarships may be available to you from outside organizations.Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.In order to receive summer funding, FAS and FMS students: Continuing students should select Term 6 of the 2022-2023 academic year, while recent high school graduates should select Term 0 of the 2023-2024 academic year. To be considered for summer funding, select UNF as your preferred institution for the appropriate summer term on the Florida's Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) website. FMS students will receive an award that covers 75% of tuition and applicable fees. The Bright Futures Scholarship allows Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) and Bright Futures Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) students to receive award funding during summer terms.įAS students will receive an award that covers 100% of tuition and applicable fees for the summer term. Summer Funding for Bright Futures Scholars To prevent a delay in awarding, please ensure all demographic information with OSFA matches the information in your UNF account. Students who become eligible can expect an award within 5-7 business days of OSFA's final determination. UNF receives weekly eligibility updates from OSFA. Incoming FTIC students on the MEL will be awarded in April.įor students who we estimated an award but whose final determination has not yet been made by Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) on the MEL, will have their estimated Bright Futures award cancelled. UNF will load the Master Eligibility List (MEL) from Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) which includes students who received the Bright Futures Initial Award Letter from OSFA. Continuing renewal students will receive an estimated award when awarding begins for the next academic year starting in November.įrom November to the end of May, these estimates are based on previous eligibility for continuing renewal students. UNF begins awarding estimated Bright Futures awards for incoming First Time In College (FTIC) students in April for the upcoming academic year.
