Captain george seafood restaurant menu8/30/2023 My daughter asked to speak with the manager and a gentleman appeared and when she asked if he was the manager he said, “yes, I’m the kitchen manager.” She explained our situation, delayed service etc. It seems odd that these conditions could warrant the 98.5 health rating posted above the cash register. I went to another table to get some ketchup and the container was so greasy it almost slid out of my hand. I had to ask another server about my onion rings which finally appeared. There was a container of tartar sauce on the table at room temp. My flounder was very thin, heavily breaded and curled. My daughter was very disappointed with her plate. ![]() About five minutes later some of our food appeared with no explanation. There seemed to be much confusion as he had to talk with several others and never provided an explanation. My daughter ordered her flounder fillet and jumbo shrimp broiled.Īfter waiting approximately 45 minutes and observing people who came in after us getting their food, we asked for a manager. My sister and I ordered fried fillet of flounder, her flounder was accompanied with baked potato and mine with onion rings. But the fault as usual was with the poor management and training. Every question was asked she had to go and ask and explained that it was only her third day there. I think we had all visited this establishment before but those visits had been years before. But if you'd rather tuck into something with a little more flavor, in a place that feels more special than a mall foodcourt, then the Outer Banks have better options. If you're going for the biggest volume of seafood per dollar, this place might be for you. I moved on to the mussels (not bad, but not special), an unmemorable broiled white fish, steamed shrimp (again, okay, but meh), fried oysters and scallops that were more breading than shellfish. legs are the big feature here, and people were loading up with them, but they've never been my favorite. The buffet line was thronged, the tables are slick and the room as bright as a laundromat.
